White Listing Instructions

Due to the high volume of email generated from ACAConnect, some email service providers (ESPs) incorrectly identify the email as spam. While we do everything possible to ensure strong deliverability rates, it is sometimes necessary that you add the ACAConnect email addresses to your "white list" (this tells your ESP that we are approved senders and not spam). If you stopped receiving email from ACAConnect, this is the first and most critical step to take to ensure our email can be delivered to you.

What is a white list? A white list is a list of email addresses or domains that you want to receive emails from.  By adding an address or domain to your white list, you are telling the email system not to filter email from that address or domain.  Follow the appropriate instructions below for the email service provider you are using to add us to your white list and to ensure that you receive our emails.

Organization email address

You will need to work with your IT department or vendor. Please ask them to add noreply@egroups.acplanners.org and DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org to your organization's "white list."

 

Gmail (Google)
Please add noreply@egroups.acplanners.org and DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org to your Gmail contacts list. To add us to your contact list:
1.     Click the Gmail dropdown on the left side of any Gmail page.
2.     Click “Contacts”
3.     Click "New Contact", just below that drop down.
4.     Copy and paste DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org into the primary email address dialog box.
5.     Either tab to the next field to autosave or Click "Save Now" in the upper right.
6.     Repeat steps 4-6 for the email address and noreply@egroups.acplanners.org.


How to check if ACAConnect email is in the "Spam" folder:

1.     Click “Spam” along the left side of any Gmail page.
2.     If you see any ACAConnect email listed among the messages in this folder, check the box next to our email.
3.     Click the “Not Spam” button along the top.

 

Windows Live/Hotmail
Please add DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org and noreply@egroups.acplanners.org to your Safe Senders list. To add us to your Safe Senders list:

    1. Click a message from ACAConnect to add to the Safe Senders list.
    2. Click theMessagemenu, point toJunk e‑mail, and then do one of the following:
    3. To allow all future messages from ACAConnect, clickAdd Sender to Safe Senders List.
    4. Repeat steps for the email addressDoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org.

Yahoo!
You will need to set up a filter to redirect ACAConnect email into your inbox:

1.     Open your mailbox and click the settings gear in the upper right hand corner.
2.     Select "Mail Options"
 3.     Select Filters on the left menu.
 4.     Click the "Add" link on the filters page.
 5.     Update the "Sender” rule with the following two pieces of information: "contains" and noreply@egroups.acplanners.org 
6.     Under “Then deliver the email to the following folder” check the pull-down menu and select “Inbox”.
 7.     Click “Save".
 8.     Repeat steps 4-7 using DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org.

Existing Subscribers:

If our emails are ending up in your Yahoo! “Spam” folder, click the box next to the email, then click the "Not Spam" button.

Check to see if noreply@egroups.acplanners.org and DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org is in your "Blocked Addresses" list.

Under the Options tab clicked “Blocked Addresses”. If you see noreply@egroups.acplanners.org and DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org on this list, select it and click the "Remove Block" button.

AOL account:

You will need to add our two emails, noreply@egroups.acplanners.org and DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org, to your AOL address book.  Here’s how to do this:

1.     From your AOL email inbox, click “Contacts” in the left navigation menu. 
 2.     Wait for the Address Book window to open, click “New Contact”. 
 3.     Paste noreply@egroups.acplanners.org into the Email1 field. 
 4.     Click "+Another"
 5.     Paste DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org into the Email2 field.
 6.     Click the Add Contact button.   

Existing Subscribers
If our email isn’t getting through, our e-mail may be in your Aol Spam Folder.  Open your Spam Folder.  If our email is in your Aol Spam Folder, open our email and click the Not Spam button.  Lastly, please add noreply@egroups.acplanners.org and DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org into your Address Book as outlined above.
