Over 100 students were in attendance from University of Illinois and Illinois State University’s board certified planning programs.
Hannah Basil spoke on a panel about “Why Financial Planning” and when asked “What advice would you give a college student entering the profession today” I encouraged students to become student members of ACP, among other tidbits of advice.
Hannah also had the opportunity to speak to students one on one. Most want the RIA/fee only channel and I re-emphasized how great the ACP student membership option is. My main selling point was having access to a mentor and reading the discussion forum; adding context to topics being learned in class.
